In Progress: Quilt Tops
>> Friday, October 1, 2010
Don't you love to see the progress of a quilting bee quilt? From the initial fabric that's picked out to be mailed across the world, to the pictures of the blocks that start trickling in, to the quilt top that's carefully pieced together, to finally a gorgeous, brand-spankin-new quilt all quilted and bound?
Here's a few pictures of some bee quilts that are on that journey ... some quilt tops to give you inspiration:
Abi received these pretty blocks for her month in Bee Seam Piecing Down Under:
The members of Bee Crazy donated blocks for this charity quilt top that is turning out stunning!
Kellie's collecting Quilt As You Go blocks from the bee members in the Austrailasian bee.
Krista is going to have a beautiful quilt with these neat blocks using lots of neutrals from the Not Your Grandmas Quilting Bee - Honey Bees group!
And Nova's bubble quilt top is turning out better than she imagined thanks to the members of One Shiny Bee.

WOW I love your blog. I'm new to the blog world and you have just given me so many ideas. I don't know much about quilting bees, but I love all of these quilt tops. I haven't been quilting for too many years but I think it would be fun to be part of a quilting bee. any info or tips you could give me would be very welcome. The bubble quilt top is really cool, i've never seen one like it.
