Pick Five Monday: old school edition

For this weeks Pick Five Monday I went old school! I went back and looked at some of the very first blocks submitted to our Flickr group - of course Virtual Quilting Bees had been going for awhile, but back from when our group was brand new here's five of my favorite blocks:


sarahlookingin made this gorgeous green block with the darling red appliquéd little birdie for A Notion or Two.

Maydela made this creative block for the Threads Together bee. The silhouette! The seagulls! So cute.

Kristenaderrick made this colorful and pretty block for the Twelve Square bee.

pinkpicketfence made this cool block with the circles done by hand-turned applique also for the Twelve Square bee.

vmjess made this beautiful rainbow block by raiding her scrap bin for the Busy Little Quilting Bee.
